Cute Cards & Papercrafting Projects by Dana Baker

Embossing folders are a quick and simple way to add dimension and interest to your cards and scrapbook pages.  Put your cardstock inside the folder and run it through your die cutting machine…easy peasy!  The result is a dry embossed image that is popped up on your cardstock.  I just received my Wilderness Collection of folders and I am so excited to play with them!

The Constellation, Mountain Peaks, and Woodland folders from Close To My Heart can be purchased individually, or as a bundle and are available in the May/June 2020 Catalog.  You can get them HERE on my shopping page, www.kissmyscraps.ctmh.com.

We currently have 3 other embossing folders available: Quilt, Celebrate, and Flower Garden.  These 3 will cover a full sized 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ card

Here is a card that I made using the Celebrate folder and Wisteria cardstock.  I decided to wet emboss over the top of the dry embossing by rubbing my Versamark ink pad all over the raised images and than sprinkling with Gold Tinsel Embossing Powder.  It turned out so sparkly, I didn’t want to cover any of it up with anything else!

CTMH Confetti Embossed Card

This card uses the retired Diamond Embossing Folder, Almond, Espresso, Sweet Leaf, Candy Apple, Black, and Canary Cardstock, and the flower is the UV coated Lagoon Cardstock in the Blue Skies Coordinating Cardstock.  All images are from the Stitched Together Cricut collection and the sentiment is from the May Stamp of the Month, S2005 Time to Celebrate.

Here is another example with the Diamond folder that I absolutely LOVE!  I ran my dove tailed pieces through the folder, rubbed Versamark ink all over and Clear embossing powder.  Then I sponged some Espresso ink to give a distressed look.
